Sharjah 24: The Arabic Language Academy (ALA) in Sharjah, in collaboration with the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), held the second meeting of the monthly "Language Majlis," which was called "Quranic Reflections."
Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, and Dr. Mohamed Safi Al Mosteghanimi, Secretary General of the Arabic Language Academy (ALA), were in attendance.
They talked about the experience of a show called "In the Context of a Quranic Verse."
Khalaf said that the idea of the show fits into Sharjah TV's long-term goal of creating a meaningful media environment that encourages social thought and seeks to improve Islamic and Arabic knowledge. This has led to the channel's constructive communication with its global viewers.
Sharjah TV's approach, according to Khalaf, is the result of a clear media vision that is supported by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, who closely follows the episodes of the "In the Context of a Quranic Verse" programme and enriches its topics with insightful assertions that demonstrate His Highness's interest in the Arabic language and the sciences of the Holy Qur'an.
