Sharjah 24: During the holy month of Ramadan, Sheikh Salem Mohammed Al Doubi, Head of Sharjah's Department of Islamic Affairs' Preaching Department, hosts the religious programme "Ramadan sermons" at 10 o'clock in the evening. The programme is available on Sharjah 24's website and social media platform.
Dr Al-Doubi remarked in the seventh episode of "Ramadan Sermons" that God Almighty has mandated fasting for great wisdom and purpose.
"In the fasting verse, God Almighty says: O believers! Fasting is mandated for you, as it was for those who came before you, in order that you may become mindful of Allah.”
The truth of fasting is acquiring piety. Therefore, whoever wants to venerate his fasting should be devout to God, do what God has prescribed, and avoid what God Almighty has forbidden.
