Sharjah24: Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) branches in the eastern and central regions of the emirate launched a variety of events and activities within the agenda of the holy month of Ramadan for the year 2022, in each of Al Bataeh, Al Dhaid, Mleiha, Wadi Al Helo, Kalba, Khorfakkan and Dibba Al Hisn, within the framework of the Club’s keenness to participate positively during these blessed days and enhance values and investing the time of women, mothers and children in charitable and awareness programs, targeted competitions and artistic workshops that will benefit them.
For the sixth year in a row, the club’s branches are organising the cultural competition (Zawya of Knowledge), which was launched for the first time in 2017, where all social media accounts of the ten branches of the club participate.
Moza Al Weshahi, director of the Sharjah Ladies Club - Kalba Branch, said that a package of Ramadan various activities and events will be organised in the branch during the month of Ramadan, highlighting the significance of these activities in investing the time of the participants.
For her part, Maryam Al Marzouqi, Director of Sharjah Ladies Club - Al Dhaid Branch, explained that the branch’s program during the month of Ramadan is enriched with two lectures, in addition to different other activities.
As for Al-Bataeh and Mleiha branch, the programs will target several children from different age groups, raising their awareness on various religious topics that would benefit them during the blessed month of Ramadan.
The Wadi Al Helo branch is hosting the Ramadan (Spring) Festival, which hosts a group of home projects of productive families, encouraging them to display their various products.
In a wonderful Ramadan atmosphere, visitors to the Khorfakkan Ladies Club will also enjoy a number of discussion sessions and activities that instill the meaning of this month in their hearts.
The program of the Dibba Al-Hisn Women’s Branch ranges to art workshops for children, a competition for memorising the shortest surahs and hadiths, and a lecture for women and girls on the importance of sports in life.
