Partnership between SSSD and Sharjah Private Education

Sharjah24: From the logic of the partnership between Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) and Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), regarding licensing social professionals in private schools, pursuant to Executive Council Resolution No. (17) of 2018 regarding the regulation of social professions in Sharjah and based on the keenness of both sides to enhance cooperation between them and with various institutions to achieve common goals, in addition to the periodic meetings that took place between the two parties that resulted in them, aiming of regulating the practice of social professions in establishments, supporting and developing them, and raising the level of services provided.
Kholoud Al Nuaimi, Director of the Social Licensing Department, expressed her thanks for the cooperation and efforts made by SPEA in seeking to license social work practitioners in its private facilities. She stated that 31 social professionals have been licensed, and 23 applications are under study pending and 60 new applications under follow-up. She added that all applications are presented to the Licensing Committee in Sharjah, which was formed by Sharjah Executive Council.

During the coordination meetings with the authority, Al Nuaimi mentioned the development of the system of social services provided in schools through the presence of social professions that practice social work according to scientific qualifications.
