Sharjah24: As part of its community activities and initiatives during the holy month of Ramadan, Hayawa Suburb Council in Khorfakkan organised its first Ramadan football tournament, which will continue until 21 Ramadan.

Suleiman Al Naqbi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Council and an official in the organising committee, said that the tournament is being held in cooperation with the Organizing Committee for the famous Sharq Championships in Khorfakkan and its stadium.

He added that the tournament was dedicated to football fans and players from the age of 40 and over, praising the great turnout at the level of participation, as 8 teams from various eastern cities participated in the tournament, which at the same time witnessed a remarkable public presence since its launch.

Al Naqbi noted that the tournament's organising committee allocated valuable prizes for the winners, as well as organising activities that attract the public, including the Ramadan tent, and daily competitions and raffles in line with the atmosphere in the holy month.
