Mleiha Club completes evacuation and emergency procedures

Sharjah 24: Mleiha Sports Club has completed the internal procedures at evacuation points and the application of emergency rules in accordance with the regulations in force in the UAE, in addition to activating the prevention and safety systems in all facilities.
Mleiha Sports Club has intensified, through the efforts of the club’s board of directors, and the follow-up of the club staff with the competent authorities, to give priority to the implementation of all tasks and activities to ensure the safety and health of all athletes, workers and practitioners in order to consolidate the strategic objectives of the Sharjah Sports Council applying different regulations.

The club has implemented Sharjah requirements in relation to Safety and Public Health System for the evacuation and emergency, determining exits and other relevant legislative requirements, as well as constantly measuring compliance with laws and legislation and performing all activities and businesses in a safe and healthy manner.

Salem Rashid Al Ketbi, Secretary General of Mleiha Sports Club, confirmed that the club works to achieve quality requirements, to become an integrated sports environment that meets the best standards of occupational safety and health, and to take all necessary measures and precautions to prevent accidents and occupational diseases and enhance the well-being and health of athletes and employees.

Al Ketbi explained that the club has identified four evacuation and meting points next to emergency exits and installed directional boards in cooperation with those concerned, in the context of keeping gymnasiums and sports areas to be a safe, healthy and risk-free sports environment for all athletes who practice all forms and types of individual and team sports within the limits of the club responsibility.

Al Ketbi pointed out that the club, through the direction of the board of directors, has endeavoured over the past months to renovate the club’s buildings and halls to protect athletes and visitors from being exposed to risks and provide care systems to meet the general guidelines where necessary, enhance safe evacuation methods, and train all sports practitioners and employees in the club.
