Sharjah 24: Ahmed Al Zahid, Head of the Media Unit of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA), explained that the award celebrates the silver jubilee that marks the 25th anniversary of its establishment by a decision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Ahmed Al Zahid, Head of the Media Unit of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award, stated that the award began with two branches: the Dubai International Holy Quran Contest and the Islamic Personality. Currently, the award includes 14 different branches serving the Book of God, and it varies between: contests, activities, events, the printing of the Holy Quran, and a centre for Quran manuscripts.
Speaking exclusively to “Sharjah 24”, Al Zahid indicated that the number of participants reached 69 contestants, and it is expected that the numbers will increase because some contestants are still arriving in the UAE from different countries of the world.
