Sharjah24: Dr. Al-Yazia Khalifa, Chairman of the Emirates Reprographic Rights Management Association (ERRA), confirmed that the introductory meeting for rights holders from publishers and authors, and the dialogue session on copyrights between culture and the economy, discussed today the rights of the author and publisher and the association's role in preserving these rights.
She added to “Sharjah 24” that ERRA also discussed during the session the role of libraries in preserving these rights for publishers and authors, and spreading awareness, which is the most important role we are currently playing with the ERRA.
Dr. Al-Yazia Khalifa considered that today we witnessed a historic day in the publishing industry in the United Arab Emirates, where we received authors, writers and publishers to sign memberships in ERRA and from here we start today in international forums and to new rights reserved in the United Arab Emirates.
