Sharjah 24: Sharjah Municipality (SM) announced the provision of about 20,000 Iftar meals during the holy month of Ramadan, in partnership and cooperation with the Invest Bank.
The bank will provide meals for workers at their residence in Industrial Area 12, out of a humanitarian duty and within the framework of ensuring joy and happiness in the hearts of fasting workers, where the municipality is keen annually to cooperate with the concerned authorities wishing to provide meals to workers, among other provisions.
In this context, Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of Sharjah Municipality (SM) confirmed that distributing Iftar meals to fasting workers and setting up tents in general is one of the annual initiatives and events organised by the municipality with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
This also reflects its keenness to strengthen cooperation with various parties wishing to provide meals, whether they were governmental or private entities, as their role is in promoting aspects of humanitarian work.
Al Tunaiji explained that the Invest Bank to distribute about 20,000 meals distributed over the days of the holy month in partnership with the municipality, based on the societal and humanitarian role and contribution to the consolidation of the meanings of giving and the values of solidarity in the blessed month and spreading the spirit of charitable and voluntary work.
For his part, Ahmad Mohammad Abu Eideh, CEO of the Invest Bank, commented that the bank is very proud of this partnership with SM, and is keen to support initiatives that make a real difference in the lives of community members.
