Sharjah 24: In a motivational initiative, and in the presence of an athlete from the club’s family, His Excellency Ibrahim Baghdad Al Darmaki, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club, honoured the national team of handball juniors with the club’s shield received by the coach of the team, Qassem Muhammad Ashour, who presented the Union shield to His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
The national youth handball team attended the internal camp, held in Dibba Al Hisn Sports Club, from 25 to 31 March as part of the preparations to participate in the tenth Asian Junior Championships, which is scheduled to be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain during the period from 16 to August 27, 2022, qualifying for the 2023 Men's Junior World Handball Championship.
During the honouring that took place at the club's headquarters, Dibba Al Hisn Club affirmed its support for the national teams and its keenness to motivate representatives of Emirati sports to move towards raising the UAE flag in all fora, especially in handball.
Captain Ashour, the club coach, praised the great success of the camp, reflecting the great commitment and positive interaction between the players and the technical and administrative staff of the Club. The technical director extended thanks and appreciation to the chairman and members of the board of directors of Dibba Al Hisn Club for the good hosting, and for harnessing all the club's facilities during the establishment of the camp.
