Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB)’s Sharjah Press Club has announced the launch of the eleventh annual Ramadan Majlis, which will be held from April 13 to 22, under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council.
The Majlis meets at Sharjah's Al Majaz Amphitheatre and Khorfakkan Amphitheatre to discuss art, sports, and the content industry.
This year’s edition covers a wide range of topics, including the impact of the YouTube platform and the role of content creators in generating constructive social reflection and developing football players' professional mentality.
According to Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), the Majlis is keen on attracting prominent speakers from around the world to discuss the most important issues in order to consolidate concepts of knowledge, enhance the values of intellectual and cultural communication, exchange constructive visions, and benefit from various experiences, expertise, and competencies in various fields.
Allay confirmed that over the last ten years, the Majlis has organised more than 50 discussion sessions, during which it has presented topics derived from societal interests, and through which it has sought to keep up with changes, aspirations, and future visions, making the Majlis one of the most important annual platforms for dialogue and debate.
In Allay's words, the eleventh edition of the Ramadan Majlis is meant to deal with important issues in the local and regional areas.
