The Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) participated in the activities of the Culture and People Festival in its fifth edition, held under the generous patronage of the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affair, from 28 to 31 March, in Al Yash Park in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The department was keen to participate and attend in the events concerned with social affairs, as it is a concerned institution and its departments in the society of all its segments, and thus these public gatherings contribute to introducing the role of the department, its mission, goals and services.
The Sharjah Office of Age Friendly Cities of the SSSD also participated in the festival, to introduce its message towards senior citizens.
It is worth noting that the festival had stopped during the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to return today with a larger crowd, as 43 institutions and 128 participants from cultural, artistic and social figures participated.
