The committee discussed the policies of the Sharjah Department of Town Planning and Survey and its plans to develop its services and work to meet the needs of the ports in Sharjah.

The committee discussed what the department offers to work on setting future plans for Sharjah in all fields, keeping pace with the renaissance, especially in tourism projects, finding possibilities for the expansion and sustainability of road networks, in addition to meeting the needs of development, service and community projects, and working with relevant departments to enhance the development process, adopt appropriate measures and respond to the needs of cities. The committee called for taking into account the preparation of areas in coordination with the competent departments of infrastructure, lands and services before distributing them to citizens in a way that enhances the social and economic development witnessed in all cities and regions of Sharjah.
For preparing the draft recommendations, the committee approved proposals for the policy of the SDTPS. It referred them to be presented to the Consultative Council of Sharjah in its next session for study and approval.
