The categories of government institutions are one of the main categories of the Award. Accordingly, the Award allows the participation of all government and private institutions in the UAE.
Dr. Jassim Al Hammadi, Secretary-General of the SAVW, stated that institutional volunteering with government and private agencies had emerged significantly in the last two years, with the worsening of the Covid pandemic, which prompted individuals to provide the necessary assistance in various works.
Fatima Musa Al Balushi, Executive Director of the Award, confirmed that the Award launched a series of programmes that contribute to motivating institutions through the launch of the Sharjah Volunteering Exhibition, the Sharjah Volunteering Forum, and the "Volunteer for the UAE" competition, in addition to volunteering workshops and lectures directed at institutions.
She pointed out that the Volunteer Work Forum is a platform for knowledge exchange and integration between institutions and society. Furthermore, the Sharjah Exhibition for Voluntary Work is an awareness exhibition that aims to introduce the institutions' voluntary opportunities, works, and programmes. "Volunteer for the UAE", aims to encourage government and civil agencies, the private sector, individuals, families, and voluntary teams to implement constructive initiatives that enhance aspects of community and human development.
It also implemented a series of workshops, lectures, and training programmes for the benefit of institutions to enhance awareness and introduce the importance of institutional volunteering via training workshops.
