This year’s spring programme is characterised by acquiring new skills during 6 days of enjoyable workshops to enrich the girls’ time with creativity and provide them with knowledge and innovation through plastic arts, science and technology, musical arts, theatre, literature and life skills, with the aim of developing the creative sense of the affiliates and teaching basic and technical skills to enrich their knowledge, dedication, passion, ambition and perseverance to face the challenges of daily life.
Asmaa Mohamedd Hassouni, Acting Deputy Director of Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, said that Sajaya seeks, through the Spring Programme, to develop girls knowledge and provide them with the necessary skills in different creative fields to apply the equation 1 = 7/6, in order to give girls the opportunity to choose one skill to be acquired by offering 7 creative areas from the specialised workshops within 6 days.
It is worth mentioning that Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah is a pioneering institution in developing the talents of girls from 13 to 18 years old in different creative spaces. Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah was established in 2004 as a department within the children’s centres and then became independent from the children’s centres in 2012 by an administrative decision by the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Rubu' Qarn Foundation for Creating future Leaders and Innovators.
