Sharjah 24: As of the first of March, the Sharjah Police's Traffic and Patrols Department has launched a traffic awareness campaign with the motto, "Slow and Overtake Safely, which will run through the end of the month. As the records show, 4 traffic accidents and 458 infractions were registered from the beginning of 2022 to the month of February, compared to 15 accidents and 661 violations in the same period last year.
Director of the Traffic Awareness and Information Branch, Captain Saud Al Shaiba stated: "The Traffic and Patrols Department of Sharjah Police is keen to intensify its traffic campaigns throughout the year in order to educate community members, reduce traffic accidents and the resulting deaths, and severe injuries in a manner consistent with the vision of the Ministry of Interior.
