Sharjah24: Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) organised its annual meeting "Ihitiwa" under the title "Challenges of Embracing a Child After Infancy" (hypothetically). The meeting discussed the positive and negative aspects of the foster family and children who lack social care, how the department's social care home deals with cases and the process of organising incubation.
At the beginning, Fatima Al-Marzouqi, director of the Social Care Home, spoke that the decision to hand over children of unknown parentage to foster families is a decision that needs great honesty, since choosing the most appropriate family for the child will result in the life of this child until he reaches the age of majority. To adapt the child in a social environment that compensates him for the emotional and psychological deprivation he was subjected to due to the abandonment of the real family.
Al Marzouqi reviewed the criteria necessary for handing over a child to a foster family, the most important of which is obtaining approved approval from the Permanent Committee for the Care of Children Deprived of Social Care in Sharjah.
