Sharjah24: Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler’s Office in Kalba, inaugurated the 10th Flower Show. Engineer Abdul Rahman Al Naqbi, Director of Kalba Municipality, confirmed that the show includes a number of pavilions and models that highlight the city’s development projects.
As part of the afforestation week activities, Kalba municipality launched, the 10th edition of the flower show, in the public beach park, with the wide participation of government institutions and stakeholders in the agriculture and environment sector.
Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, inaugurated the show, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Suleiman Sarhan Al Zaabi, President of the Municipal Council, Jassim Bu Sim, Director of the Amiri Diwan in Kalba, and a crowd of government departments officials in the city.
Engineer Abdul Rahman Al Naqbi, Director of Kalba Municipality, said that the 10th flower show includes many pavilions and models that highlight the city's development projects, including models of the clock tower, hanging gardens, Kalba Lake and other projects.
Speaking exclusively to "Sharjah 24", Engineer Abdul Rahman Al Naqbi added that the show will continue from Thursday to Sunday, amid wide participation of government and private institutions, and companies concerned with agriculture and garden design.
The flower show, which has become one of the important events in Kalba, contains thousands of flowers, seedlings and shrubs, highlighting the aesthetics of Kalba and its environmental treasures.
