Sharjah 24: The Family Affairs Committee of Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), with the participation of the Health Affairs, Labour and Social Affairs Committee in Sharjah Consultative Council, reviewed the services provided at Dar Al Aman of the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) at the headquarters of correctional and penal facilities.
The visit comes within the framework of the two committees’ plan within the work of SCC for the third regular session of the tenth legislative term to review all services provided to children inmates.
The delegation of the Council from the Family Affairs Committee included His Excellency Jassim Jumaa Al Mazmi, Rapporteur of the Committee, Her Excellency Afra bin Halis Al Ketbi, His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Raisi, His Excellency Abdullah Mohammed Balroken Al Shamsi, and from the Health Affairs, Labor and Social Affairs Committee, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Musa Al Balushi, Chairman of the Committee, Her Excellency Asira Al Qaidi, and of the General Secretariat of the Council, Huda Al Hammadi and Saif bin Suef Al Ketbi.
Brigadier Ahmed Abdulaziz Shuhail, Director of the Department of Punitive and Correctional Institution at Sharjah Police, received SCC delegation.
SCC delegation inspected Dar Al Aman and got acquainted with the services provided, during which an explanation was given on the programmes and services provided to children.
