Sharjah 24: His Excellency Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament for Child (APC), confirmed the important role played by Expo 2020 Dubai in supporting all the new developments and future directions sought by the United Arab Emirates in achieving development for all countries of the world.

Al Barout pointed out that Expo 2020 Dubai is a global platform in the consolidation and employment of technology in a way that qualifies the world to move towards the optimal investment of knowledge. He added that Expo has achieved a solid base where civilizations and peoples meet in health care, education, technology and sustainability sectors. He pointed out that Expo supports the aspect of applied research and innovation helping development efforts in these sectors, which is related to the Arab Parliament session for the child on “Sustainability is an eye on the future”.

Ayman Othman Al Barout and the delegation of the General Secretariat of the Arab Parliament for the Child visited Expo 2020 where they were briefed on a number of pavilions activities for the countries participating in this important global event hosted by the United Arab Emirates.

Al Barout and his accompanying delegation were briefed on the different cultures and civilizations of the participating countries toured a number of pavilions that presented various projects in vital areas, as well as their adoption of modern technologies based on advanced sciences and artificial intelligence techniques and their orientations towards sustainability in various vital fields.

The visit reflected the preparation APC is currently concerned with, coinciding with the convening of its third session of the second session on the twenty-sixth of February, which will be entitled (Sustainability is an eye on the future). The topic is relates the child with the future, being an integral part of rehabilitation, human development, training and preparation of Arab children with the best international standards.

The APC delegation visited the pavilion of the League of Arab States, which is participating for the first time in the Expo. During the visit, His Excellency the Secretary-General received a commemorative shield from the pavilion. 

Al Barout also visited the United Nations and the Sustainability Pavilion and was briefed on the vision aiming at achieving sustainability, in addition to visiting the pavilion of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Pavilion of the United Arab Emirates, listening to a presentation on the adaptation of smart technologies and projects and their applications towards the future.
