Sharjah24: The UAE Innovation Month in Sharjah successfully wrapped up its activities, held at the Men’s College of Sharjah University and Al Majaz Waterfront, on Friday with the participation of a number of local, federal and private government organisations as well as 34 student participations and a series of workshops. The UAE Innovation Month celebrates the creators, innovators and emerging talents in the country, who with their creative ideas, achievements and initiatives support the future directions of the United Arab Emirates, and its development vision for the next fifty years.
The 5-day long event sought out new talent and skills that would support the country's strategy to ensure a safe environment that preserves the rights of innovators and talented people.
Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the UAE Innovation Month in Sharjah, said: “The UAE Innovation Month in Sharjah mirrors the nation’s approach to cooperation and unification of efforts to promote sustainable development in the UAE, and to consolidate the country’s position as a platform that attracts innovators and creators, and provides them with the right environment and as an incubator for them to thrive and grow”.
Al Suwaidi added: "The UAE Innovation Month in Sharjah confirms that innovation and creativity have become a vital necessity, due to the pivotal role they play in serving the economic, educational, health, entertainment and other sectors and directly support the vision of the nation. The Emirate of Sharjah and the UAE invest in innovators and adopt their ideas that aim to improve the quality of life of individuals and services provided to them, besides consolidating the country’s position among the ranks of the world”.
It is worth noting that the activities of the UAE Innovation Month in Sharjah are part of the government's continuous efforts to foster a culture of innovation in the government sector by celebrating creative innovators and highlighting their achievements that have made a positive change in the lives and future of individuals.
