Sharjah 24: Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) highlighted that schools must adhere to all instructions officially issued by SPEA, that prohibit dismissing, denying entry to examination, or preventing students from exercising their right to education, due to delay in paying the tuition fees, whether for distance learning students, or for traditional classroom students, and to deal flexibly with parents in this regard.
Through the official circular No. (7) for the year 2021, distributed to all its affiliated schools, SPEA determined mechanisms to be followed in case of late payment of school fees, stipulating direct communication with the student guardian, sparing students facing such situations and any financial claims; and showing flexibility to the guardian, by providing options for payment or rescheduling, in such a way that suits both parties.

The Circular guaranteed SPEA private schools the right to refrain from issuing transfer certificates or end-of-year certificates; as well as to refrain from re-registering the student for the next academic year, until a financial settlement is made, without prejudice to the student's right to end the scholastic year. The Circular aims to guarantee a healthy school environment for all students.
