Sharjah24: Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, visited Wednesday, the activities of the UAE Innovation Month in the Emirate of Sharjah, which will be held at the Male Colleges at the University of Sharjah from February 14 to 18.

During the visit, Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem listened to detailed explanations of the various participating projects and initiatives, which aim to support the innovation system in the UAE to achieve sustainable development goals, and for the country to be an advanced platform that receives creators and innovators in all fields.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem toured the pavilions of Sharjah government institutions, bodies and departments, informing him of the latest innovations that contribute to the development and promotion of government services provided to the public, in addition to what the various departments offer in the field of career innovation, relying on developing the skills of functional cadres, and encouraging the adoption of a culture of innovation in their daily lives.

Deputy Ruler of Sharjah inspected the various participating exhibitions, listening to those in charge of the modern and developed innovations and inventions included in their pavilions aimed at facilitating business for employees and customers, which enriches the experience of institutions and works to provide the best services and needs to members of society in various disciplines.
During the tour, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, was briefed on the innovations of the University of Sharjah students presented by the students in various engineering, technological, computer, medical, health and other disciplines.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem was acquainted with a number of modern inventions and developmental works that the students worked on as future projects that contribute to the promotion of businesses and different ways of life.

At the end of the tour, Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi honoured the sponsors and supporters of the activities of the Innovation Month in the Emirate of Sharjah, and the participants in the virtual forum (Sharjah Innovates).

Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem was accompanied during his tour by Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Ruler’s Office, Sheikh Saud bin Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Digital Office, Sheikh Salem bin Muhammad bin Salem Al Qasimi, Director of the Commercial and Tourism Development Authority, and a number of heads of local departments in the Emirate of Sharjah and senior officials.
