SEWA completes 529,328 digital transactions during 2021

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) completed 529,328 digital transactions on the e-services portal and smart application during 2021, including smart bill payment, updating the subscribers profile, registration in the electronic portal and smart application and requesting gas delivery with an average increase of 2.34% compared to the year 2020.
About 14,000 thousand requests were received for the “At your command” digital service , which was launched at the beginning of 2021 and specialised in providing subscribers with basic services, with 36,542 thousand new users were registered in the “My Account” service on the Authority’s electronic portal and smart application.

Commenting on this, Engineer Fatima Ali Asghar, Director of Information and Communication Technology, stressed that the Authority works on digital transformation to provide various services to clients, aiming to save their time and efforts, encouraging them to use electronic methods to finish their transactions and pay their bills easily, with providing different electronic payment methods.

She added that with regard to the development of the information and communication technology infrastructure and internal systems, the Information and Communication Technology Department is working to keep pace with technological development, ensuring to achieve a qualitative leap by shifting from using traditional programs to using the best modern systems and technologies for doing business, contributing in increasing production efficiency and speeding up tasks.
