During the programme
Sharjah 24: The “Aman Ya Bladi” programme, prepared by the Media and Public Relations Department of Sharjah Police, every Monday morning, discussed a number of diverse topics through its various stations, where guests spoke about social challenges and their repercussions, and ways to reduce risks and maintain a healthy and safe society.
The guest of the programme, Abdullah Malih, Head of the Scientific Research Department at the Sharjah Police Research Centre, talked about the variables that have an impact on life, and the resulting factors that are reflected on the individual, family and society. In addition to the impact of modern technologies on the individual, and how to reduce their risks and use them for the benefit of society.

Lt. Col. Abdullah Malih also referred to the importance of dialogue between members of the same family, and its important role in preventing and addressing the social risks of modern technologies, and the extent of its direct impact on individuals, especially on children. He called on all segments of society from government entities, individuals and parents to the necessity of solidarity and cooperation in addressing these changes to children, in order to protect them. 

The programme included a telephone intervention in which Maryam Ibrahim Al Qasir Al Nuaimi, Director of Social Education Department in the Sharjah Social Services Department, speaking about the department’s role in educating through continuous educational programmes for all segments of society to reduce negative phenomena and problems that affect the stability of the local community in the Emirate.

Al Nuaimi also touched on the significant and negative impact of modern technologies such as electronic games and social media on the generation of children, and what are the ways to prevent and limit them.
