Sharjah24: The Khorfakkan Amphitheatre hosted a spectacular concert Friday evening, bringing together the brilliant Iraqi-Saudi singer Majid Al Muhandis and sensational Dalia Mubarak from Saudi Arabia. The musical evening, held as part of the “Hala Khorfakkan” season, saw Al Muhandis, known as the ‘Engineer of the Arab song’ deliver a performance that may long be remembered by music lovers in Sharjah and the UAE. He was ably supported and complemented by Dalia Mubarak, known for her mellifluous vocals and unique style.
The audience had a treat in store for them at the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, the new architectural masterpiece on the East Coast, as they enjoyed the rare concert in a unique setting that offers breathtaking views of the beautiful Khorfakkan city and its mountain range and famous beach.
The two singers made the evening even more memorable with their performance, as they combined the sweetness of their music and songs with their powerful style, repeatedly interacting with a lively and cheering audience. The third concert of the "Hala Khorfakkan" season attracted massive audience interest and tickets for the concert were completely sold out more than a month ago.
Al Muhandis, the Iraqi-Saudi singer, wowed his fans as he recreated the magic of some of his most popular numbers such as “Fahmouh,” “Tenadeek”, “Hatan”, “Tihibak Rohy,” “Yhizak Al Shooq” and “Naqsak Shi.”
Dalia Mubarak, known for her distinct and gentle voice which has helped her shoot to popularity in the world of Arabic music in a short time, presented a number of new and old songs including "Tra Haqy", " Elly Ymshuy Aadi", "Ymkin" and "Khedni" etc.
The Saudi singer expressed her happiness to perform in Khorfakkan, saying, "This is truly a special evening. From the stage of this iconic architectural monument, I join my loved ones in the Emirates, and in the Emirate of Culture I have met an audience with refined taste who appreciate artistic creativity.”
She added, "I am truly happy and honoured to be performing with the great singer and artist, Majid Al Muhandis, on the beautiful stage of the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre."
