Sharjah24: His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah bin Halis Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Al Bataeh Suburb praised the great success of the events, activities and initiatives of the 4th Al Bataeh Folk Festival (ABFF), lauding the efforts of His Excellency Abdullah Sultan bin Saluma Al Ketbi, Director of Al Bataeh Municipality and Chairman of the Organising Committee for the distinguished activities that received wide praise from the guests, the strategic partners, the official guests of the festival and the visitors, especially the people of Al Bataeh.
The people of Al Bataeh expressed their happiness and thanks to the Municipal Council, Al Bataeh Municipality and all the committees working in the festival.

His Excellency the Chairman of the Municipal Council also valued the role and efforts of the working committees in organising and preparing the initiatives and implementing the activities, reflecting to achieve the remarkable success of the festival. He has further lauded the efforts of the high-level administrative cadre of Al-Bataeh Municipality and the festival’s work team. He also stressed the necessity of implementing all the precautionary and preventive measures and the protocol approved by the Government of Sharjah.

Bin Halis expressed his happiness and the honour of Al-Bataeh Festival by launching the “Shukran Sultan” initiative in appreciation, gratitude and love for His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his continuous support for sustainable development and the provision of the necessities of a decent life for families.

The initiative was launched among the employees of the Municipal Council, Al Bataeh Municipality and the people of Al Bataeh area, witnessing a great participation from all the society’s segments, who express their love and thanks to the Ruler of Sharjah for His Highness' unlimited giving to his children in the Emirate of Sharjah.

Commenting on this, Bin Halis also praised the festival's cultural activities, with the participation of the University of Sharjah, and a number of several other institutions and entities. 

The festival will witness also in the coming days the volunteering day initiatives, aiming to promote the culture of volunteering and humanitarian work in community service, as well as holding several courses for teaching Arabic calligraphy and poetry for children; cultural competitions, and various other activities.

Stressing that the festival reflects all the emirate’s cultural forms, shedding light on its significsnce in supporting the productive families and handicrafts of the people of Al-Bataeh area. 

He expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to all the participating parties and sponsors of the festival.
