Sharjah24: The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced the accreditation of its Sharjah Training and Development Center (STDC) as a training and testing center for the IELTS English language proficiency exam, starting January, allowing all students and other groups in the Emirate of Sharjah, the opportunity to apply for the IELTS test in the Chamber's main headquarters, based on the center's keenness to provide training services that benefit the community within the standards of quality, efficiency and excellence.

Mariam Saif Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General of the Sharjah Chamber for the Support Services Sector, confirmed that the accreditation of the Sharjah Center for Training and Development came under an agreement with the Excellence Center for Applied Research and Training (CERT) of the Higher Colleges of Technology, with the aim of holding IELTS tests and preparatory courses for testing at the Chamber's headquarters for students and all groups. This is in line with the new strategic plan of the Sharjah Chamber, which aims to make the Sharjah Training and Development Center a distinguished scientific center to serve the community in all its segments.

Amal Abdullah Al Ali, director of the Sharjah Center for Training and Development, explained that the preparatory courses that the center will provide to the trainees will include strengthening them in listening, speaking, writing and reading skills to obtain the degree required to pass the test to join universities in the country and abroad or jobs that require this test, noting that the test It is held throughout the year, and five days of exams have been set in the first quarter of this year: (on the 8 and 29th of next January, 12 and 26 February, and 12 March 2022).
