Lines were connected to 258 homes, and the project was implemented within 8 months according to the highest standards of security and safety.
The natural gas service was connected to the Kalba Waterfront Mall, and work is underway to connect the natural gas service to the Kalba waterfront, and more extensions will be implemented to meet the requirements of the various tourism and cultural projects in Kalba.
Eng. Khalid Al Hosani, Director of the Natural Gas Office in the Eastern Region at SEWA, explained that the natural gas project in Kalba saw a great development, whereas more than 136 km have been completed since the beginning of the project in different areas of Kalba, benefiting about 750 customers.
Eng. Al Hosani explained that the expansion comes within the wise vision and sound directions of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to give utmost attention to infrastructure projects, provide a decent life for residents in all Sharjah regions and encourage the use of natural gas as an alternative fuel to preserve the environment.
He stressed that the natural gas project reflects SEWA commitment to preserve the environment and encourage Sharjah residents to use natural gas instead of using liquefied gas (cylinders), as it contributes to preserve the environment.
Eng. Khalid Al Hosani concluded that SEWA applies the highest standards of quality and safety to extend the network, stressing that procedures have been facilitated to enable subscribers to benefit from natural gas services, noting that SEWA strategic plan includes implementing natural gas projects in all areas of Kalba, whether the commercial, industrial or residential sectors.
