Sharjah24: The Conservation Department of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) discussed with Al Hamriyah Sports Club in a joint meeting held at the club’s headquarters activating the mechanisms for implementing rationalization programmes and raising energy efficiency in the club’s buildings, as part of the “clubs race for rationalization” initiative launched by the Sharjah Sports Council in coordination with SEWA.
Engineer Ghada Juma Salem, Director of the Conservation Department, explained that the authority is keen to cooperate and combine efforts with various institutions to raise awareness of the importance of rationalization and saving energy and water consumption, and to participate and support all initiatives and events that contribute to rationalizing energy consumption and vital issues in society, based on the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Federal Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
Rashid Al Marzouqi, Deputy Director of the Conservation Department, confirmed that the meeting came at the invitation of Juma Obaid Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Hamriyah Sports Club, included a review of a number of activities, practices, programmes and recommendations proposed to raise the efficiency of the club’s buildings in terms of operation and maintenance, and a mechanism for evaluating negative behaviors and erroneous practices.
