Sharjah24: Al Khalidiya Suburb Council received a delegation from the Emirates Retirees Association (ERA) at its headquarters in Sharjah. They discussed with it a number of common issues and mechanisms for enhancing cooperation to serve the retired segment.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al-Marri, Chairman of the Council, welcomed the presence of the association’s delegation and their visit, which enhances ways of cooperation with bodies aimed at serving the community.
His Excellency Khalfan Al Marri, Chairman of the Council, suggested that the association’s delegation meet with the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs to activate the roles of the Association in the headquarters of the suburban councils, which will result in the achievement of the association’s objectives and facilitate the mechanisms for collecting and inventorying retiree data in the Emirate.
His Excellency also submitted a proposal to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Department, which would allow the association to spread a larger and broader activity at the level of suburban councils in the Emirate, which would contribute to activating the role of volunteering for retired categories and benefiting from their previous experiences.
