Sharjah24: The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the Municipal Council and Al Bataeh Municipality held a coordination meeting at the SCCI’s headquarters on Tuesday morning, discussing the arrangements and the agenda of events for the fourth edition of the Al Bataeh Folk Festival, which will be launched during the first week of January 2022 for a period of three weeks.
In the presence of His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah bin Halis Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Al Bataeh Suburb, His Excellency Abdullah Sultan bin Salma Al Ketbi, Director of Al Bataeh Municipality, in the presence of several dignitaries from the SCCI.

The meeting was also attended by members of the Supreme Organising Committee of the Al-Bataeh Folk Festival 2022.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi welcomed the Chairman of the Municipal Council and the Director of Al-Bataeh Municipality and the accompanying delegation, expressing his sincere thanks and appreciation for the great efforts made by the Municipal Council and Al-Bataeh Municipality in serving the Al-Bataeh area and the smiling emirate. He stressed that Al-Bataeh Folk Festival is a major event as part of teh Sharjah shopping offers organised by the Chamber, adding that it will start on December 15 and will continue until January 31, 2022.

Ha has further lauded the continuation of Al-Bataeh Municipal Council and the Municipality in organising such festivals, emphasising on its remarkable success during the previous edition.

On his part, His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah bin Halis Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Al Bataeh region, expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Chamber, extending his thanks to His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, for the support and strategic cooperation that the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry is doing towards Al Bataeh area in order to serve the people of Al Bataeh.

His Excellency Abdullah Sultan bin Saluma Al Ketbi, Director of Al Bataeh Municipality, indicated that the Al Bataeh Festival will be a cultural event reflecting the heritage character of Al Bataeh area, shedding light on its social awareness role in the community.

Commenting on this, Jamal Saeed Buzangal, general coordinator of the Sharjah Shopping Shows, indicated the great role of the festival’s supreme organising committee, stressing that there will be various pleasant activities for the festival’s visitors amid an atmosphere of happiness and fun for all family members.

At the end of the meeting, Bin Halis and Bin Salloma thanked and appreciated the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stressing that the festival will be a special and exceptional event with the cooperation and support of all the working team.
