Al Qaseer: Sharjah hosts 63 Arab, foreign artists

Sharjah 24: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated the 24th Sharjah Islamic Arts Festival (SIAF), organised by the Department of Culture, on Wednesday at the Sharjah Art Museum.
Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qaseer, Director of the 24th Sharjah Islamic Arts Festival (SIAF), noted that the festival, themed "Gradate" features around 151 activities, including exhibitions, seminars, and art workshops.

According to Al Qaseer's statements to "Sharjah 24," the festival features 63 artists from Arab and non-Arab countries, including America, the United Kingdom, Spain, Canada, Hong Kong, India, and Serbia, which is participating for the first time. 

Al Qaseer added that the festival also features approximately 100 different artistic workshops in calligraphy, ornamentation, plastic arts, and frame-making, as well as a number of specialised lectures on Islamic arts and Arabic calligraphy.
