Sharjah24: The Student Parents Council in the Central Region organised a dialogue session about the past with the elderly in the Al Dhaid region, namely Saif bin Khamis Al Nadas, Obaid bin Salem Al Shamti Al Ketbi, Obaid bin Rashid bin Gharir Al Ketbi, Matar bin Ali bin Gharir Al Ketbi, and Saeed bin Rashid bin Rabie Al Tunaiji.
The session dealt with several topics, foremost of which is the development of the United Arab Emirates after the establishment of the union at the hands of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, founder of the UAE, and about education in the past, traditional treatments "marking", cupping, former hunting methods and trade.
Rashid Abdullah Al Mahyan, head of the Parents Council in the Central Region, confirmed in exclusive statements to "Sharjah 24" that the elders of the region are the ones who struggled life before the UAE union and lived a simple life, and witnessed the transformation made by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan after the emergence of oil its focus is on providing a decent life for the citizen.
