Sharjah 24: The wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, confirmed that His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, is always keen to plant the seed of goodness in the hearts of the Youth of the UAE at an early age in order to server the community.
"It pleases us to witness every time a group of new blood, learnt in their youth to be caring and productive. They grew up in an environment of goodness, to rise as stars that shine with their effort, time and knowledge," Sheikha Jawaher said.

Sheikha Jawaher’s speech coincides with "Goodness brings us together" ceremony, held under the patronage of Sheikha Jawaher, organised by the Health Promotion Department (HPD), to honour the volunteers of the HPD and its health-supporting associations. The ceremony was held on the same day as the International Volunteer Day, to show appreciation to volunteers and their constant efforts in promoting healthcare to the community.

"These groups of volunteers would not have successfully benefited the community with their expertise and knowledge had it not been for the efforts of the HPD, from which we are accustomed to initiatives and programmes that contributed to raising health awareness in the community of Sharjah. This ceremony proves to us the continuation of a successful path in achieving the goals for which the HDP was established. This humanitarian role that the HPD plays is a reflection of its love and care for the community, and its ongoing quest to become the bridge between medical experts and community members,” Sheikha Jawaher said.

Sheikha Jawaher extended her gracious gratitude and appreciation to all volunteers. "You are soldiers for goodness, and just as medicine was a humanitarian act, you have added, with your contributions to humanity, a new dimension with your sincere intentions to serve the society in exchange for a smile on a patient's face. I pray God Almighty to elevate your morals in every work you do for the sake of your society and your country.” Sheikha Jawaher added

Eman Rashid Saif expressed her gratitude to the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, for her generous sponsorship of this ceremony and her sustained keenness to support and promote voluntary works, for Sheikha Jawaher will always remain an icon in charitable and voluntary work.

Eman Rashid Saif reviewed the efforts made by the administration and its associations in promoting voluntary work in health as it succeeded in attracting more than 200 volunteers of different nationalities specialising in health and administration, providing financial support worth more than 10 million dirhams to many patients of different nationalities, and donating more than 515,000 dirhams to several health centres, while the number of beneficiaries of awareness programmes and health consultations reached more than 145,000 people.
