Sharjah24: Within the celebrations of the 50th UAE National Day; The Sharjah International Marine Sports Club organised, on Saturday in Khorfakkan, a carnival event that included interesting shows on land, sea and air.

The event was witnessed by His Excellency Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah National Day Celebrations Committee, His Excellency Tariq Saeed Alay, Vice Chairman of the Committee, His Excellency Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Khorfakkan, Sultan Yaqoub Al Mansouri, Director of the Emiri Court in Khorfakkan, and a crowd of officials.

Ahmed Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Sharjah International Marine Club, said in statements to “Sharjah 24”, that the event included a distinguished air show of the Emirates Knights squadron, in addition to a massive marine parade, the largest of its kind, with the participation of about 280 ships and fishing boats.

He added that the celebration included many paragraphs with the participation of the Emirates balloon, an aerial display of gliders carrying the state flags and pictures of their Highnesses, the rulers of the Emirates, in addition to marine games, and other poetic and lyrical paragraphs from folklore.
