Sharjah24: Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) at its headquarters and its branches in various regions of the emirate organised its annual celebration on the occasion of UAE National Day.
Many programmes and events were launched to mark UAE’s 50th National Day.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Head of the Department, and a number of department managers, and employees of the department.
The celebration was begun with the National Anthem followed by a poem presented by a department's employee entitled "Union Day", then an activity presented by the military troupe. The ceremony also included various activities and competitions. His Excellency the head of the department, accompanied by the jury, toured the departments participating in the decorating competitions.
His Excellency the Head of the Department extended his warmest congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE , His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and their brothers, members of the Supreme Council of the Union, the rulers of the Emirates, Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Executive Council, His Highness, Crown Princes, citizens and residents of this country, and all those who participate on the UAE's National Day.
