During their participation in the activities of the Forum, which was organised by the "Sharjah 24" news website, affiliated with the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, under the slogan "Role and Influence", Emirati media officials and experts stressed the significance of organising such forums, which came at the right time to discuss many themes, most notably the pros and cons of news networks, and to develop appropriate solutions to bridge the gap between the traditional media and the new media.
The participants also thanked and appreciated Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, for attending, inaugurating and sponsoring the Forum.
Highlighting the importance of the outcomes and recommendations of the forum, the media officials added that the forum will form a basis for transferring the phenomenon of local networks from individual initiatives to becoming part of the UAE media system.
Participants concluded thanking all the Forum’s organisers and hoping to see more similar forums in the future.
