Sharjah24: Prof. Dr. Hamid Majul Al Nuaimi, Director of the University of Sharjah (UoS), attended the UAE National Day celebration organised by the university’s branch in Khorfakkan, on Wednesday, in coinciding with the country’s celebrations.
In statements to “Sharjah 24”, he stated that the university, like other institutions, celebrates a nation that records a numerous number of achievements.
He pointed out that the golden jubilee is an occasion to recall the sacrifices of the founding fathers, and the wise leadership of the Emirates, which all generation follow their footsteps in their construction, development and leadership.
Al Nuaimi added that among UAE's remarkable achievements is the noteworthy development in the higher education sector, and the unprecedented renaissance achieved by UAE universities, including the University of Sharjah, which was founded by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah in 1997.
He explained that the University of Sharjah, within 25 years, has become one of the greatest Emirati and Arab universities and the first university in scientific research according to the international classification.
