Sharjah24: Sharjah Committee for National Day Celebrations, in cooperation with the Municipal Council and the Municipality of Khorfakkan, organised, on Tuesday, the first celebrations of Sharjah on 50th National Day, the "Golden Jubilee", in Khorfakkan Amphitheater, in the presence of about 2,500 participants.
The celebration was attended by Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Chairman of the Ruler’s Office in Khorfakkan, in the presence of His Excellency Khamis bin Salem Al Suwaidi, Head of the District and Village Affairs Department, His Excellency Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Committee for National Day Celebrations, His Excellency Tariq Saeed Alai, General Director of Sharjah Government Media Bureau, and His Excellency Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Khorfakkan, along with a number of officials.
The celebration included a variety of performances, including Emirati, Lebanese and Iraqi folklore, heritage performances, a photo exhibition, as well as artistic workshops and cartoon characters, heritage songs for the arts of Al-Azi, Al-Harbiya and Al-Ayla, and other fun activities.
The audience interacted with a operetta entitled "The Jubilee of Pride", presented by the ambassador of tunes, Fayez Al-Saeed, accompanied by Walid Al-Jassem, and Faisal Al-Jassem, Poet Maryam Al-Naqbi.
