SDHR helps job seekers to find new opportunities

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Directorate of Human (SDHR), in cooperation with Skyline University, concluded the "Qualifying Programme for Employment in Banks and the Banking Sector”, targeting 30 high school graduates who are listed in SDHR system. The 95-hour Programme was held electronically via the Microsoft Teams platform.
The programme was designed to qualify high school graduates looking for work to join the UAE banking sector, in an effort to provide them with new job opportunities, by providing them with full experience and capabilities to enter a specialised field of work.

The programme kit was represented by a set of foundational financial, accounting and banking programmes, according to levels ranging from beginner to intermediate levels. 

It tackled basic topics including the basics of the banking process, accounting principles for non-accountants, principles of finance, time value of financial cash, analysis and planning of financial statements, analysis of cash flow data, and a simulation of the UAE financial market.The programme topics tackled in-depth explanations of banking, finance, and accounting. A pre-assessment was carried out for the participants, upon which the technical material was allocated. 

Introducing the necessary skills to prepare a statement of cash flows, and to analyse and understand the conditions of the financial institution, the programme aimed to enable participants to gain general knowledge of the banking environment, and to give them a comprehensive view of the unified banks regulation, basic activities and procedures in various major banking fields. It also aimed to introduce participants to the most important concepts and principles of accounting and the accounting cycle, familiarity with the basics of financial operations, and being able to evaluate the company's performance by reading and analysing financial statements that help in making financial and administrative decisions.

Commenting on this, His Excellency Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadim, Member of Sharjah Executive Council and Chairman of SDHR, said that pursuant to the visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, SDHR exert efforts to focus on and invest in job seekers, as the engine of the nation. 

His Excellency Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadim added that it is essential to involve youth in Sharjah strategic initiatives to assume the upcoming positions of the most prominent and important businesses and sectors in the Emirate and the country.
