SEDD organises number of seminars at SIBF

Sharjah24: In order to achieve leadership in comprehensive development to reach a competitive diversified and innovative knowledge-based economy, Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” participated Sharjah International Book Fair “SIBF” at its fortieth session during the period from 3rd to 13th of November by organising number of seminars.
These seminars help to share information, expertise and experiences related to economic work, which falls within SEDD’s concerns to organize, develop and enhance the concept of knowledge among employees and citizens and to advance the methodology of knowledge exchange among members of society. Number of authorities participated in these seminars, such as the Sharjah Police Headquarter, Strategic Center for Consultancy and Training, Sharjah Innovation Award, Abu Dhabi Police College, and Sharjah Foundation for Supporting Entrepreneurship "RUWAD".

Commenting on that, Hanadi Al Muhairi, Director of Strategic Planning and Performance Department at SEDD, confirmed that the Ddepartment adopted a general strategy, in collaboration with SIBF, to develop the human element, especially the youth category, by raising the efficiency of community members working in various administrative and leadership centers. She added that SEDD believes that participation in the SIBF is a priority that comes on top of its ambitious programs and strategic plans, through which it can support and promote sustainable cultural development efforts. Also, it highlights the fact that the culture of book fairs with its general social presence and accompanying activities such as workshops and seminars will undoubtedly contribute to strengthening the concept of cultural mobility in society.

Regarding the seminars that SEDD will organize, Hanadi Al Muhairi indicated that five seminars will be held during the event. These seminars included infrastructure development and its impact on Sharjah’s economy expansion in the Eastern Region, talent management and its role in developing innovation system, and cybercrime in the digital world. Likely, it included the impact of the concept of quality of life on economic development, "Influences and Aspirations", in addition to a seminar entitled (An Entrepreneur's Success Story). These seminars aim to shed light on the vital projects in the eastern region and their contribution to revitalizing tourism and economic development in the region. Also, they introduce innovative development concepts and systems to achieve the best results. Likewise, they contribute to raising the individual culture with concepts of innovation, creative development, and familiarization with the laws and regulations included in the world of digitization and technology. In addition, they highlight the role of economic development in raising the quality of life and ensuring social and environmental stability. Also, they include a detailed presentation on the role of the Government of Sharjah in supporting medium and small projects due to their qualitative impact in evolving the economic progress in Sharjah.
