SIB organises workshop on 'Success Keys to Excel in Career'

Sharjah 24: Within the framework of its social responsibility and continuous commitment to enhancing knowledge and banking awareness, Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) organised a workshop, “Success Keys to Excel in Career”, as part of its "Mehnati" programme which aims to enable students affiliated with the programme to acquire the necessary skills, required in the banking sector.
The workshop entails a group of integrated field training courses in various departments and branches of SIB, this is under the supervision and guidance of subject matter experts to help develop the skills of those with aspirations in joining the Islamic Banking Sector.

Professional tips and advice
The workshop was created with university students in mind, particularly those enrolled in the "Mehnati" internship programme. Included topics within the programme are an overview of banking, skills for forming future goals, assessment and understanding of personalities, and the best methods of communication. Additionally, the workshop works with students to provide counselling and advice on passing job interviews, as well as exploring new ways to apply for jobs.

The workshop also touched upon ways for students to enrich their profile and enhance their competitiveness, by providing best learning resources for training courses, specialised certificates, volunteering opportunities, workshops, and more.

Motivating young people to work in the banking sector and chart a better career path for their future
The "Mehnati" programme was created to focus on the importance of equipping university students with the required work skills and comprehensive banking experience needed in today’s competitive job market, as well as to raise awareness to the field of Islamic banking, an important tributary of the National economy.

Trainees at the workshop expressed their positive evaluation of the activities and topics broached during the workshop, citing the topics presented, as being excellent contributions to help students chart the best career path for their future.
