Sharjah 24: A considerable crowd of poets and educated folks attended a poetry session featuring two Emirati poets, Najat Al Dhaheri and Amal Al Sahlawi, at the 40th Sharjah International Book Fair. The event was hosted by the Supreme Council for Family Affairs' (SCFA) Cultural and Media Office in Sharjah and moderated by poet Sheikha Al Jabri.
Sheikha Al Jabri remarked that the exhibition's attendance, engagement, and accompanying programme that shed light on the Emirati poet's role are the most remarkable features after the pandemic.
Najat Al Dhaheri expressed her joy at the large turnout to hear poetry and recited poems in a range of styles and on a variety of subjects, including the world, love, the mind, and Man.
Amal Al Sahlawi, described "a poet who touches the spirit of every reader" by al Jabiri, recited many poems, including "I am endeavouring to interrupt you”.
