Sharjah 24: In a heartwarming gesture, Al Khalidiya Suburb Council (AKSC) donated half a million dirhams to Sharjah Charity International (SCI) to support its financial resources.
His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri, Chairman of Al Khalidiya Suburb Council, accompanied by Deputy Council Chairman Mohammed bin Jarash, and Ali Hamad bin Sifan, a member of the Council, Sheikh Butti bin Saeed Al Maktoum, in the presence of Imran Muhammad Al Hammadi, the Council Officer, and Abdulaziz Khalid Al Abdouli, Secretary of the Council received His Excellency Abdullah Sultan bin Khadem, SCI’s Executive Director, at the council's headquarters, and presented him a donation check in the name of the Sharjah Charity Society amounting to half a million dirhams.

His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri, Chairman of Al Khalidiya Suburb Council confirmed that the Council is keen to enhance the roles of humanitarian and charitable institutions in Sharjah to support the poor and families in need, and establish charity projects and programmes all over the world.

Al Marri pointed that this generous support and donation comes within the initiatives and activities of the council and such initiative reflects His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah vision in establishing councils aiming at promoting community cohesion supporting charitable and humanitarian institutions and bodies operating in Sharjah.

His Excellency Abdullah Sultan bin Khadem thanked and appreciated the Chairman of the Council, members and all staff for the roles they play, and stressed that the Sharjah Charity International will always continue to communicate with Al Khalidiya Suburb Council.
