Sharjah24: Arada is launching Manbat, the local Emirati farmers’ market at its Sharjah community Nasma Residences for the first time this weekend.
A joint initiative between Arada and the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, the Manbat market promotes the best of the UAE’s healthy, home-grown produce in a fun and family-friendly environment.
Starting this weekend, Manbat will welcome visitors between 4pm and 9pm every Saturday at Nasma Central, the community’s lifestyle hub, for the duration of the winter growing season.
A number of Emirati farmers will display their wares in socially distant stalls displaying seasonal fruit and vegetables, natural honey and locally grown dates. The initiative provides families with access to wholesome products while supporting local farmers from within the Emirates.
Children will especially enjoy vibrant and creative artistic workshops, interactive games and a parade of festive performers and carnival-inspired acts including acrobatics, juggling and stilts. There’s also face-painting for the more adventurous and buskers for music fans, along with opportunities for food tasting.
Manbat provides marketing assistance and resources to farmers which in turn helps to promote the Emirati agricultural industry. The endeavour was first launched at Arada’s Aljada megaproject in January 2021 and has since welcomed thousands of visitors.
Arada’s Nasma Residences community is based in the up-and-coming Sharjah district of Al Suyoh and has easy access to both Emirates Road and Mleiha Road.
