Sharjah 24: The Palestinian visual artist Hazem Harb considered his exhibition “Temporary Museum. For Palestine”, a re-writing of history as an artist and not as a researcher. The exhibition includes every book, map, photo and material that he has collected over the past few years.
The Palestinian artist confirmed that his exhibition "Temporary Museum. For Palestine", showcases various works including sculpture, installation works and others, and it deals with the idea of a temporary museum and a narrative of a permanent history. He added that the exhibition includes a large collection of books, personal and social documents, and his experiences over the past ten years through which he tries to re-write history as an artist but not a researcher.

He explained to “Sharjah 24” that "Temporary Museum. For Palestine", being held at the Maraya Art Centre, affiliated with the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority "Shurooq", embraces all the elements that disseminate science and knowledge on various topics, and it is a place of constant change and development.

Hazem Harb indicated that the exhibition reflects the embodiment of the heritage essence and the relationship between man and place within a socio-cultural approach that focuses on the concept of the homeland, Palestine, through archival materials that include old maps, photos, and family paintings, displayed inside bottles and glass cabinets. He continued that the exhibition also deals with deep topics such as the diaspora, archives, nostalgic yearning for lost history, and collectibles that reveal the civilised state of Palestine at all levels, whether the social status of the population, the economic experience, and even the nature of the land and its plants and flowers.
