Held from October 19 – 21, the event is organised by the ECS in cooperation with the SDHR and the Emirates Institute for Banking & Financial Studies, with the support of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and with the participation of government and private agencies.
The platform includes authorities, institutions and departments of Sharjah government participating in the exhibition, where these entities will present jobs descriptions and the services they provide.
The department will provide many services, most notably, receiving job seekers’ applications through e-recruitment service, responding to all inquiries, providing professional advice on current and future labour market requirements, and updating job seekers’ data.
Several private and semi-government agencies will do job interviews and pick candidates at the event.
The platform will also allow job seekers to register in the qualifying programmes the SDHR offers as part of its monthly programme series to provide the seekers with skills and experiences.
Dr Tariq Sultan bin Khadem, Member of the Executive Council and Chairman of SDHR, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for supporting Emirati job seekers, qualifying them to work in various sectors, governmental or private, and ensuring the sustainable support they receive.
Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda, Member of the Executive Council and Chairman of Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) stressed the SEDD's keenness to participate in all career fairs that are held in Sharjah based on the department's strategy to improve and develop the efficiency of human resources, noting that the SEDD has achieved a localisation rate of 94.6% in 2020.
Eng Ali bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Executive Council Member and Chairman of Sharjah Directorate of Public Works (SDPW) said, “Our participation in this exhibition comes within the framework of our tireless efforts to involve qualified national cadres in the development process of the SDPW. the Directorate is keen to participate in the National Career Exhibition, as a strategic platform to attract and Emirati human cadres capable of contributing to the support and development of the SDPW, as we are working on providing them with job opportunities and ensuring that they acquire skills to hone their experiences, to be effective elements in promoting the growth of the construction sector.”
Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, Member of the Executive Council and Chairperson of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA), confirmed the authority's keenness to participate in the National Career Exhibition, as it will contribute to providing job opportunities in Sharjah, in light of the Emirate's strategy aimed at achieving the highest levels of comprehensive and sustainable development.
Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of Sharjah Municipality (SM) confirmed that the municipality’s participation in the 23rd National Employment Exhibition reflects its keenness to inform local job seekers about the job opportunities it provides translating the wise visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in providing job opportunities for Sharjah citizens to provide them with a decent life.
Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority (SPSA), stated that the authority’s participation comes within the framework of providing job opportunities for UAE citizens. “Today we are participating in the 23rd National Career Exhibition for 2021 at the Expo Center Sharjah, as part of the government platform of the SDHR, which includes Sharjah government agencies, departments, and bodies, for its critical importance in providing job opportunities, supporting entrepreneurship, and providing advice to fresh graduates and national professionals.
Mohammed Meer Abdul Rahman Al Sarrah, Director of Ports & Customs - Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority (SPCFZA), stated that participating in the career fair is one of the top priorities for it provides the attendees with opportunities to learn about experiences, skills, and qualifications in developing the work system of the authority.
Afra Saif Al Shaer Al Suwaidi, Director of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA), affirmed the keenness of the SCFA in Sharjah to participate in the 23rd National Career Exhibition, based on the council’s new strategy of investment in human resources by strengthening partnerships with government authorities and bodies, as well as attracting national competencies to contribute to achieving financial stability for them.
Eng Nelly Al Shamsi, Director of the Support Services Department at the Sharjah Department of Town Planning and Survey (SDTPS) confirmed that participating in the annual career fair comes from the department's responsibility towards the community and to enhance the role of the Sharjah government in providing suitable job opportunities for Emirati job seekers, in addition to the department's desire to select the best career cadres to contribute in developing its administrative structure.
