Sharjah24: The Water Department of Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has started preparing a comprehensive study to prepare a strategic water plan for the next five years until 2026 in cooperation with the Danish Niras Consulting Company, with the aim of setting interim priorities for the development of water services, and implementing planning studies to analyze the water situation. This study is expected to be completed within the first quarter of 2022.
Engineer Essam Al Mulla, Director of the Authority's Water Department, explained that the strategic plan includes several stages, including collecting data related to the project, in addition to studying the water network and setting appropriate plans to develop it to suit the future developments and needs of the Emirate.

He pointed out that within the strategic plans of water management, the use of expert houses related to water studies and the development of interim strategies for the development of water services, where a plan is made every five years and the implementation of studies that support the ability to take the correct development decisions about the current conditions and trends of current water network.
