Sharjah 24: The Department of Family Development Centres (DFDC) of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah (SCFA), has announced a series of events and training programmes as part of the "Homeland is Family" campaign for 2021.
The department conducted 106 training sessions for 14,597 participants from various segments of society as part of its efforts to achieve the campaign's objectives of promoting a positive family awareness culture fairly consistent with the aspirations of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and His Highness's wife Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs.

The department's training programmes and discussion sessions from January 2021 to September 2021 focused on a variety of social issues with the aim of achieving the "Homeland is Family" campaign's goals, the most prominent of which are empowering personality, promoting a high-end marital culture, and also upgrading social ties and strengthening the education system, values, and culture that support family cohesion.

Modhi Mohammed Al Shamsi, Chairperson of the Department of Family Development Centres, stated that the Department's qualitative achievements in the "Home is Family" campaign reflect Sharjah's interest in family and youth, and Sharjah's wholehearted efforts in enhancing family and community ties and addressing family challenges.

She stressed the need for concerted efforts and coordination from all government and private agencies to support the family, and provide the ingredients that guarantee its stability and cohesion, in light of the changes taking place in the world.
